Waltham Chase Methodist Church will be having a big Birthday celebration weekend with events on Waltham Chase Recreation ground and at the Church

Events will include:

Friday evening 7.30 at the Church:

Paul Kerensa, Stand-up comedian and comedy writer (Not going out, Top Gear and Miranda) and Mark Shortland, magician; both of whom are Christians. There will be Pizza and drinks during the interval

Saturday on Waltham Chase Recreation ground (on the B334) from 12.00 – 5.30

Live bands (Riverside Concert Band, Soberton Strummers), Line dancing, storytelling and more on the stage. Additionally there will be: cage football, archery, bouncy castle, children’s tent, Youth club tent, prayer caravan, Elemental Tent. The Police, Scouts, Waltham Chase Methodist church Food bank, Parish Council and others will also be participating.

Saturday evening on the Recreation Ground: 6 – 10 pm:

Open mic session for local talent, music with bands including ‘Daughters of Davis’ who have supported Peter Andre, Beyoncé & Leona Lewis. Other confirmed bands are ‘The Connell Brothers’, ‘Fragile Lucy’ and ‘Catch the Arrow’. ‘Tonic’ (Music for Mental Health charity) are also performing and will be sharing news about their work.

 

Sunday on the Recreation Ground: 10.30 am

Gospel Service outside with church band ‘Legacy’. The theme is “Freedom”

Church lunch: Hog roast for 300 people and Birthday Cake.
