NPNP Lead Officer, 50% Military Facing - District Role

NPNP Lead Officer-50% military facing (permanent)

Hours of work:                    37 per week, to be worked flexibly

Pay:                            £44,000 per annum (equivalent to £22.87 per hour)

                                    Ministers would be subject to the normal terms & conditions

Normal place of work:     Home based with travel throughout the Southampton Methodist District area

Purpose of Role:    Is to develop the growing movement of New Places for New People by acting as an accompanist to circuits and practitioners (pioneers) to develop vision for NPNPs, provide the vital support needed in the early stages, continued development, evaluation and sustaining of a new Christian community. And to do this in both the existing circuit context and Armed Forces context.

Youth Worker - Meon Valley Circuit

Are you a dynamic and creative youth worker who has a passion for leading young people to faith? Then this position might be the perfect opportunity for you to develop your skills, while enjoying an established program of youth activities supported by a dedicated, long-term team of volunteers.

This full-time position is an opportunity to lead and develop the ministry within the Church as well as local area, working to build engagement with children and young people. You will be part of a ministerial team comprised of an experienced Methodist Minister and Children & Families Worker. You will also have an existing team of experienced volunteers to lead, develop and work with to implement new initiatives and reach out to local schools.

Waltham Chase Methodist Church is a vibrant, charismatic Christian church in the heart of the Meon Valley in South Hampshire.  https://www.chasemethodist.org/

The appointment is a full-time, fixed 2-year contract (37.5 hours per week), which may be renewed. It is expected that at least half of the work will be conducted during evenings and weekends, with at least one day per week free of responsibilities.

Salary will be in the range of £27,860 - £31,000 per annum, depending on qualifications and/or experience.  A NEST pension will be provided, as well as 20 days holiday, plus 8 statutory bank holidays.

It is a Genuine Occupational Requirement that the holder of this post is a practising Christian whose lifestyle is consistent with the values and doctrines of the Christian faith. This post requires an enhanced DBS disclosure.

Children and Families Leader - East Solent & Downs Circuit

Children and Families’ Leader for the Parish of Hart Plain, Waterlooville
Hart Plain Church is excited to have received funding for a three-year post to build on their ministry to children and families.
We are looking to recruit someone to work with the ministers and leadership team of Hart Plain Church to transform the ministry to children and families in our local community.
This work will continue the ministry already being carried out through our thriving toddler group, our Children’s Sunday Club and all-age worship, and our relationships with our preschool and local schools, and the groups who meet on our premises.
The Role
Hart Plain Church is looking to employ a Children and Families’ leader for 20 hours per week during termtime.
This is an exciting opportunity for someone who is passionate about ministry to children and families to transform and shape ministry across our parish.
The post is funded for 3 years.
Salary
The salary is £12,480 per year for a 20-hour week plus agreed ministry expenses. Holiday allowance is 4.2 weeks and holidays must be taken during Hampshire Schools holidays.
This is a ‘term time only’ post for 39 weeks a year and time in lieu will be given for occasional working outside the school term, e.g. Good Friday and Christmas Eve.

Personal Assistant to the Superintendent Minister (part-time) - Christchurch & Wimborne

We are looking for part-time Administrative Support for the Superintendent Minister

This is an interesting and varied appointment which offers opportunities for a good communicator and self-motivated person to use a variety of administrative skills to assist the Superintendent Minister in the efficient running of the Circuit

Main responsibilities will be:

Acting as personal assistant and point of contact for Superintendent Minister

Assisting the Superintendent with various administrative tasks

The successful applicant will mostly work independently from home, with occasional in-person meetings, so internet access and Microsoft Office skills are essential.

Working hours: 10 hours weekly, Monday to Friday, to suit the applicant

Salary - £16.34 p.h. (£8, 496 per annum)

Working hours: 15 hours weekly, Monday to Friday to suit the applicant
