Sarum College Open in Google Maps
On behalf of Tom Stuckey and myself, this is an invitation to the next meeting of the Southampton Regional Theology Forum of the Methodist Church at Sarum College, Salisbury on Thursday, June 13. The format of the meetings is seminar-like with presentations from people involved with scholarship, research and innovation. We allow plenty of opportunities for discussion. The benefit to the presenters is to refine their ideas with a group of practitioners; for the attendees it is to develop their thoughts on theological topics.
We are delighted to announce that the presenters at the next meeting are Rev Dr Philip Luscombe, and Dudley Coates. Dudley has as his title: Some reflections on The Methodist Worship Book after 20 years. Philip’s presentation is entitled: 'Elephants and Concrete Mixers': Mary Midgley and the conversation between science and theology.
The meeting will start at 10.30 am, with refreshments available from 10 am. It will end with a sandwich lunch starting at 12.45 pm.
The following meeting will take place on Thursday, October 10, also at Sarum College.
Please distribute this message to others who may be interested.
We hope to see you there. Please advise me if you are going to attend by June 6, and also on any dietary requirements.
Regards,
John Evans (johnxafs@iloud.com)
