Sarum College Open in Google Maps

On behalf of Tom Stuckey and myself, this is an invitation to the next meeting of the Southampton Regional Theology Forum of the Methodist Church at Sarum College, Salisbury on Thursday, February 14. The format of the meetings is seminar-like with presentations from people involved with scholarship, research and innovation. We allow plenty of opportunities for discussion. The benefit to the presenters is to refine their ideas with a group of practitioners; for the attendees it is to develop their thoughts on theological topics.

We are delighted to announce that the presenters at the next meeting are Dr Beth Dodd, Lecturer in Doctrine, and Theology, Arts and Culture at Sarum College and Dr James Garnett, minister in training. Beth has as her title: The Wisdom of Performance: Spoken Word and Spirit’s Breath. James’ presentation is entitled: Is the language of values helpful for evangelism? Again, this promises to be a very interesting meeting.

Unusually, the meeting will start at 10 am, with refreshments available from 11 am. It will end with a sandwich lunch starting at 12.45 pm.

The following meetings will take place on Thursday, June 13 and Thursday, October 10, also at Sarum College.

We hope to see you there. Please advise me if you are going to attend by Wednesday, February 6, and also on any dietary requirements.

Many thanks,
John
