Today (June 27th) we give thanks and celebrate that The Methodist Conference, meeting on-line, received into Full Connexion Deacon Rebekah-Joy Spinks and Rev Philip Dixon. Their Ordination Services will take place at a later date but we pray for both Rebekah-Joy, a minister in Yeovil and Blackmore Vale Circuit, and Philip, a minister in the Christchurch and Wimborne Circuit, that God will bless them in their ministry as we give thanks for the life they share with us in the Southampton District.
Prayer: Gracious God, we thank you for Rebekah-Joy and Philip and for the way they have responded to your call in their lives and journeyed through training to this moment of Reception into Full Connexion within our Church. Bless them and guide them, strengthen and uphold them in all they do. Bless those who are closest to them and who support them. We pray also for the churches and communities they minister in, that they will support Rebekah-Joy and Philip, and will share with them so that, together, they may share your love, peace and grace. Amen
