POD Co-ordinator - Dorset South and West

Pod Co-ordinator

15 Hours per Week.  Salary £11,091.60 per annum

An exciting and challenging opportunity to lead a team of volunteers at the Pod in Sherborne has arisen.

The Pod is at the interface between the church and community in Sherborne.  It is home to the Community Fridge, an initiative of Sherborne Town Council.  It is a place where people can come for conversation, encouragement and signposting.

The successful applicant will be someone who has experience of leading and developing small teams.  Ideally this will include recruiting developing and supporting volunteers, but this is not essential.

You will be organised, have good communications skills and be able to enthuse and organise volunteers

You will have a passion for seeing the Kingdom of God develop outside the walls of Church and ideally have ideas and experience of how.  It is a genuine occupational requirement for a Christian as you will be expected to pray and talk to those wanting to have Christian conversation.

Whilst the Pod is led by Cheap Street Church it is a partnership between the community and the Church as a whole in Sherborne.
