Following the announcement of my new role as Head of Ministries a process was undertaken to appoint a new Chair, as explained in the second mailing which came out to Synod members (copy below).  I am delighted to confirm that following a unanimous vote at our Autumn Synod, Reverend Andrew de Ville will become Chair of the Southampton District from March 2020, until 2022 when the reinvitation process would naturally be due.   This vote is affirming for Andrew and a positive step for the District, ensuring continuity and consistency of the work already started.

I am working closely with Andrew over the coming months to ensure a smooth transition for the District, and we are both grateful to you all for your support and prayers.

I am now committed to working in London for 2 days per week, although this of course remains flexible to accommodate District commitments.  Please do contact Sarah as normal to access my diary, or Andrew de Ville’s diary from March 2020.

With my sincere thanks for your ongoing support,
Andrew Wood
